Chance encounter with the Easter Bunny in the produce section

This morning we headed to play at Central Park, next to Central Market. It is such a well-designed playscape and she enjoyed it. We enjoyed watching her work the agility course. She chatted a lot about Daddy and Sportsball, too. After lunch outside, we walked towards the produce section and luckily
encountered one of Easter Bunny's helpers. Blakeley left with a purple balloon, a chocolate candy wrapped in purple foil and an organic carrot. At home she created an Easter bonnet for the concrete bunny out front, and also chased us around the yard before dispensing cascarones confetti onto our shirts and legs. She loved them! Prepare yourselves; there are more. Later, she 'rested' on the airbed upstairs. All round wonderful Blakeley day. Please plan a time soon for me to keep Woods when you two can do something special with her.

Morning with Woods

During Woods’ nap I tiptoed in to be sure he was in dreamland. In stealth nanny mode Deuce accompanied me, and as I peered into the crib he issued one of his famous loud burps! Woods did not stir. Earlier, we were outside and Woods, very much into ‘Itsy Bitsy Spider’, observed a clump of something in the grass (big business left by Deuce) and stopped to look at it before pronouncing it a ‘Spidah’. I have been telling him spiders have eight legs. Genius.

April Fools

You can see that Blakeley was completely fooled when offered a glass of green 'juice' on April Fool's Day. She tried her hardest! And, she was excited to bring juice cups home to you and Brant.

Blakeley's day

As we walked down the path to locate Studio 1, we had a wonderful surprise. The peacocks heard she would be at Laguna Gloria and walked over from Mayfield Park, next door. She was so pleased to see 'Mr. Fancy' and 'Hen'. Hen even followed her to the class and peeked in the window (to locate Blakeley, we are sure).

After lunch, she fed the rocking horse real oatmeal and covered him with a blanket before returning him to his stall.

Reacting after a bump to her head, she crawled onto the bottom shelf of the tiered table as a safe zone to recover.

Gardening with Blakeley

We had a wonderful time today, hardly making a dent in the plants and seeds purchased for Blakeley. In the first shot she is waiting for me to tie my shoes and get started; the second shows her joy that it is finally
time to water; and the third is my favorite. After digging the holes, examining the root balls and then planting the tomato, she watered it thoroughly, then immediately plopped down and announced she was going to
'watch it grow'. Later, she planted Lamb's Ear, pinched Lemon Balm and Mint to smell them , sowed dill seed and patted the nearly invisible seeds into the soil.

She rested peacefully for an hour this afternoon, and I am sure I will sleep
well and happily tonight.

Morning with Woods

How is it little ones do not know the happiness they create simply by entering a house and saying 'Grandad'? Steve was not able pick up Woods, so I facilitated, and babycakes was loving and happy to be near him today.

I am glad I recognized what your smart baby was thinking when he reached over the book and touched the arm of the chair to say 'rain'. Thank you, Woods. Gigi now realizes that the vertical pattern of the ticking mirrors the way the rain was drawn in I Am A Bunny!

Couldn't help but insert Woods, bodily, into his Daddy's first boots (size 12). Such a conundrum when Rodeo and Mardi Gras coincide! He liked them, but was frozen in place while in them. Funny.

I had better get a move on before Friday, or little gardener will not have anything to rake, dig or shovel with the set of Gardena tools.
